The Acura Legend was introduced to the US in 1986 as a sporty sedan or coupe, luxury vehicle. It was sold until 1995 when it went out of production. The first generation of Legends were made from 1986 to 1990 on the KA1-6 chassis. The second and last generation of Legend was produced from 1991 to 1995 on what is called the KA7 chassis. The Acura Legend, sometimes called the Honda Legend and also known as the Daewoo Arcadia, was produced from 1986 to 1990 was the first generation of Legends. The two engines used in these models were from the famous C family of Honda engines, which included the C25A V6 and the C27A V6 engines. The Legend coupe was Motor Trend’s Import Car of the Year for 1987. The coupe also made Car and Driver magazine’s Ten Best list from 1988 through 1990.
